Terms of Service

1. What this is
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [PLACEHOLDER: your registered business name, e.g. "Patrons, Inc."] ("Patrons," "we," "us") about your use of Patrons: a booking and loyalty platform for service businesses. Patrons reads your public website to set up your services, prices, staff and hours; gives you a booking page and a Book button for your site; lets AI assistants answer questions about your business and book you; checks your connected calendar so nothing double-books; and, through our assistant Tobi, sends booking messages and loyalty follow-ups on your behalf.
By creating an account or using Patrons, you agree to these Terms. If you’re doing this for a business, you’re confirming you’re authorized to bind that business to this agreement.
2. What we do, and what we don’t promise
Bookings made through Patrons are instant: when a time is open on your schedule and calendar, a customer or an AI assistant can book it, following the rules you set (notice needed, cancellation window, and what AI assistants may book, reschedule or cancel). You can change the time of, cancel, or message about any booking afterwards.
We check your connected calendar at the moment of booking and again right before confirming, and we won’t offer a time we can’t verify. We work hard to prevent double-bookings, but we can’t guarantee that a calendar provider’s service, or changes made outside Patrons, will never cause a conflict. If we spot a clash after the fact, we’ll tell you.
We don’t guarantee that any AI assistant will find, recommend, mention or book your business, or any number of bookings, customers or revenue. Whether and how an assistant surfaces a business is decided by that assistant’s operator, not by us, and can change at any time.
Answers an AI assistant gives about your business are based on the information in your Patrons profile. We keep it accurate and current as best we can, but we’re not responsible for how an assistant phrases or presents it.
3. Your account, calendar and settings
You’re responsible for the accuracy of your business information and for keeping access to your account (the email address we send sign-in links to) secure.
When you connect a calendar (Google Calendar today, Microsoft Outlook later), you do so through that provider’s official sign-in. We never ask for or store your password. You can disconnect at any time in Patrons or in your calendar provider’s settings.
You choose what AI assistants and Tobi may do on your behalf, and you approve every promotional offer before it’s sent.
4. Your customers and their information
When customers book you through Patrons, we collect their contact details and booking history on your behalf. You control that information; we process it to run your bookings and follow-ups, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to use it lawfully, including honoring customers’ choices about marketing messages.
If you bring customer lists or past bookings over from another platform, you confirm you have the right to do so. Imported customers are not treated as having agreed to marketing messages; they receive booking-related messages only until they opt in.
Tobi sends transactional messages (confirmations, reminders, changes and cancellations) and, where a customer has agreed, limited marketing such as one follow-up after a visit or an offer you’ve approved. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. Text messages, when available, will only be sent to customers who have given the consent the law requires.
5. Reviews
Customers can leave a rating and review after a real, completed booking. Reviews are only accepted from verified bookings. You can reply publicly, but you can’t edit or delete a customer’s review. We may remove reviews that are unlawful, abusive, or clearly not about the service.
6. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis, as shown when you sign up. We never see or store your card number; Stripe handles that directly.
You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future billing but doesn’t refund the current period unless we say otherwise. Prices can change, and we’ll give you reasonable notice before a change affects you. There are no setup fees and no commission on bookings.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Patrons to misrepresent your business, upload information you don’t have the right to share, send messages customers haven’t agreed to, or interfere with the service, other businesses on Patrons, or the AI assistants that connect to us.
We rate-limit and check requests from AI assistants to keep the service reliable, and may throttle or suspend access that abuses it.
8. Your data, and our license to use it
You own your business information and your customer data. You give us a license to host, process and share it only as needed to run Patrons for you: showing your booking page, answering AI assistants, taking bookings, checking your calendar, and sending messages you’ve enabled.
You can export your data or ask us to delete it at any time; see the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services
Patrons relies on services we don’t operate, such as AI assistant platforms, calendar providers, email delivery, hosting and Stripe. Each has its own terms, uptime and policies. We’re not responsible for their outages, policy changes or decisions.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Patrons is provided "as is." We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular result (bookings, customers, revenue or AI visibility) will follow from using it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, [PLACEHOLDER: your registered business name, e.g. "Patrons, Inc."]'s total liability arising from these Terms or your use of Patrons is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost bookings, revenue or profits, even if we knew they were possible.
Nothing in this section limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using Patrons and cancel at any time. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. When an account closes, your booking page goes offline and AI assistants can no longer book you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Patrons changes. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you by email about material changes. Continuing to use Patrons after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: the state whose law governs this, usually where the business is registered], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
